So over past few months our design firm ( Idea Zoo LLC.) picked up a unique project. A
local school wanted an statue of their mascot built that would stand out
from others in the area. After initial design planning we decided to
get our hands dirty and build a form from scratch starting with a
skeleton of rebar, wrapped with chicken wire and filled with concrete.
Blue glass was used in the mixture to create an accent. Our team was
green due to the fact that nobody had previous experience with
concrete.... here are some shots of the process.
