sooooo its been a while since the last update but now we finally have a 3d printed model. It was exciting to see all the parts fit together as well as it did. Although a few adjustments will need to be made to allow more strength and better fit. The concept of easy assembly/disassembly is definitely there though.

SMARTPHONE update
Started to play in rhino with friction fit aka "LEGO" connections to get a better idea of what will be sandwiched in the connections along with simple STEEL hardware for fastening.
So through much materials debate it looks like ALUMINUM will be the main housing due to its properties being useful for the products "take back cycle" (this goes for all materials/parts used) as well as fitting a current material trend in the smartphone industry.
I am also looking at COPPER used as a medium in the phones RECEIVER become exposed as apart of the overall aesthetic. here a few early rhino shots.
Glass will be sandwiched to protect the front/bak from damage.

Currently in the works!
Upcoming works:
. SMARTPHONE: this design will incorporate ecofriendly materials and manufacturing methods (inspired by lego) that could potentially give a company incentive to improve quality and return some themselves a few bucks.
. FURNITURE: constructing a desk from flat panels of aluminum with silicone accents for the legs to give friction for standing
. FURNITURE: "tetris" stack-able shelving
